If you're uncomfortable with lack of direction, then this game isn't for you. But when it comes to open-world gameplay and mechanics, Minecraft is a primitive but fine demonstration of thriving on bare-bones gaming.

Just go to the forum thread, and follow the instructions - Unless you're talking about older games, or games that are on sale (on Steam for example), there really aren't many great games for less than the cost of Minecraft (at least, not very many that you can dump as much time into as you can with Minecraft) As for your 'things that could be improved:' 1.)
