For a new experience: Blazed Glazed (or Glazed, but BG is a better version of Glazed) Light Platinum (LP + has more up-to-date features I believe) Flora Sky (make sure to get the most recent version). Vega Minus (or Vega, but Vega is crazy hard early on so Minus is an easier version). Adventure: Red Chapter (follows manga so there is a lot of dialogue). Edit: for an enhanced experience of base games: Red++ for Gen 1 Liquid Crystal is a GBA remake of Gen 2 Nameless Fire Red is an updated Fire Red. Theta Emerald Ex is an updated Emerald.

Imo Glazed is a bit overrated, if i remember correctly it doesn't even has the PSS (physical special split) and so is Light Platinum. If you are looking for a game that doesn't change much of the story but adds new features such as the PSS, in battle megas, pokemons up to gen 6, new items, moves and abilities then definitely try out Theta Emerald Ex or Nameless FireRed. If you like fakemons then Pokemon Clover is your game. It has an original story, new music, an entirely new pokedex and tons of new features. If you don't like fakemons but want a new story try Blazed Glaze (glaze but with the PSS split and other new features), Gaia (not completed, 7 gym badges I believe) it even has in battles megas, Resolute, Victory Fire and Mega Power (It's a trilogy) it has an unique story, but it also have some broken english (Victory Fire is the best tho, and it also has a patch that fixes the english) Oh, also Vega Minus is really good, new story, fakemons with normal mons, funny characters, etc (Vega minus is a toned down version of Vega, since normal Vega is unfair at times) • • • •.
